“Mum, you didn’t need to be there for us to reveal everything to the press. It’s not your relationship”, Toby snapped at Vanessa over the phone. “We did it to stop everyone calling to book lunch dates and dinner dates. I even had someone ask to go for a stroll in the park.”
“All I’m saying, you should have warned us” Vanessa replied, letting out a long sigh down the receiver. “Your father almost choked to death when he sat down for breakfast and opened his tablet to read the newspaper.”
