Masithole:"I still think you should call him, maybe to thank him or something just to be sure."

Someone knocks at our door...

Just the boy I've been thinking about. He looks confused like he wasn't supposed to be here.

Masithole:" Hello Mr Richard, it's a great pleasure to have you here sir"

Richard:"Hello Mrs?"

He didn't know her name? And she's been working here for years.

Masithole:"Masithole and here's the newest addition to the firm, Miss..."

Richard :"Miss Connie? I want to have a word with you. Meet me in my office immediately."

"Okay sir." I think it's my end of working here. I know I cut corners to be here and he's here to tell me off.

Masithole:"This is a first?"

"Um,what?"

Masithole:"The first time he's ever visited this part of the firm. He has never been here since I started working here."

"He probably got to know that I've got no qualifications and I cut corners to be here. I think he wants to fire me."

Masithole:" That's not a problem at all. We all did, cut corners I mean. I don't have any qualifications too. You are fortunate to have had matric. Me, I don't have any at all. So you're better than I am. I also started working here through my husband's friend so we are both the same. I don't think that's the reason he was here."

"Hmmm, okay "

Masithole:" Come to think of this, I've been working here for five years now and he doesn't know my name but he knows yours and You've been here for weeks only."

"Yeah. Let me report to his office."

Masithole:"yes go on dear. Please be of good behavior. You do know that to get a job in South Africa is harder than you think."

"I got it Masithole " she talks a lot but I know it comes from a good heart.

I quickly walked out of the office before she ends up praying and casting away demons.

I press the elevator and I see the gay, Leo. He's probably on an errand for his boss.

Leo:"Hi"

"Hi"

Leo:"This part of the office is off limits to ordinary staffs like you ma'am. Please go back to your little office and don't cross boundaries. You might end up being fired for such mistakes."

He could've just said office and not just the phrase, "little office" He's a rude sissy... probably from s****l frustrations.

"It's no mistake, Mister"

Leo:" What business do you have here missy?"

"I work here just like you and that's my business."

Leo:" listen old woman, I don't disrespect elders but don't provoke me or I'll throw you outta this vicinity this instant. Now I'm gonna ask you again, think carefully before you reply or you'll regret... "

It's funny what this generation has turned into but I don't give a f**k. If I'm going to be fired then, I will be leaving with no regrets. I knock on the CEO's door and I hear a hoarse "come in". I opened the door to enter but the P.A beat me to it as he pulled me out and closing the door with a loud bang.

"MR Richard himself told me to report to his office and I am reporting to my boss, as ordered to."

Leo:" Is that the best lie you could come up with? My boss don't meet with your kinds, oldie "

"Then I'd advise you to do your job as his secretary which is to confirm from him directly before concluding anything else"

My hands are itchy but I'm almost sixty so I'll pass.

Leo:" Get out of these premises woman! You should be thanking your stars I'm in a better place this day or else... Walk away gently to your tiny hole of an office before I lose my home training..."

"Do tell Mr Richard that I reported to his office before you..."

Richard:" What's happening here?''

I didn't even see him come out.

Leo:" Nothing boss. This woman here lost her way and I'm sending her off, back to her..."

Richard:" Miss Connie, I have been waiting for you for a while now. Come inside this instant! Leo, your first verbal warning "

Oops! Now I feel bad for the boy. A verbal warning is all the same as a warning. Once they start counting, unemployment days are nearer.

Richard:" please sit, I won't take much of your time.''

"Thank you "

Richard:" I have a proposal for you, a better job offer to your current position. I need a nanny. I want you to be my children's nanny. They're a month old and they've just lost their nanny. Their mother is present but she just needs an older hand. She's new to this so am l"

"I don't have any qualifications or experience in that aspect so I don't think..."

Richard:"I don't think women need any qualifications to nurse a baby.There's absolutely no need to rush in giving me a reply. Here's the contract on the job description and offers. You just have to go through it thoroughly this weekend and get back to me next week. You can return to your office, miss Connie "

"Alright...um, what will happen to my current position?"

RICHARD:" Someone will fill in that post immediately you sign the contract."

"Okay, thanks."

Richard:"Miss Connie?'

"Yes?"

Richard:" I'm truly sorry about my PA's behavior. He'll write you an apology soon"

" oh dear, there's no need for that. I think he's just doing his job. There's no need for all that sincerely "

RICHARD:" Enjoy the rest of your day " He has the same smile as his father, Banzi. Why on earth must he be banzi's son? Why???

I've had eight interviews this day with different applicants and I'm not feeling any of them.

"I don't see any need to hire nannies. I think I can do this myself. It's almost nighttime and I've got the kids all day. They're more calm and relaxed with me, Refiloe. Didn't you see it?"

Refiloe:" You may think you got it today but what of other days when you can't help them or you don't know how to. I support the decision to hire a nanny. It will help you a lot in raising the kids in a more comfortable environment."

"Were you raised by a nanny?"

Refiloe:"no"

"That's a relief. I wasn't either. And I grew up in a very comfortable environment. Didn't I turn out well?"

Refiloe:"you did but I didn't."

Refiloe:" My parents were always busy...they got it all going well for them. As a toddler, I had a student mom. She was so focused about school that she forgets about me most times in campus. My dad was struggling that time too, to provide and prove a point to my grandmother who thought he wasn't good enough for my mom..."

### NOTE: GOOD MORNING FAM, y'all are all making the book boring and unappreciated to me. I know this is an all readers package with no benefit to the author but I deserve the reactions nevertheless. I need reactions for encouragement and to move forward. A thousand people read the book everyday yet I get only two hundred people's reactions and twenty comments at large. It's not fair sweetheart. I'm not asking for much and you know it.
