MONTHS LATER...
I may not have the ability to walk anymore, but I've gained so much more in life. I've got a son, Richard, who brings me so much joy and pride. Being a mother to him this past few months is one of my greatest blessings. And if that wasn't enough, I've also got two adorable grandkids who light up my world! They're the apples of my eye, and spending time with them is always a delight.
Sometimes, I think about how life has turned out, and I'm amazed at how far I've come. I could've let my disability define me, but I chose to focus on the good things. I've learned to adapt and find happiness in the little things.
