THE BROODER

Richard
" Mr Richard, you have a call from the CEO of Metro Oil and Gas. Should I put him online for you, sir?"
Leonard is my personal secretary and he's only aware of my Richard carfer life. I don't want to involve the homosexual man into the badlands.
" Okay Leo " I know what the call is about and I won't change my mind.
Donald Smith: Hello Richie, my boy.
" Greetings Mr Smith, it's Richard Carfer not Richie and I'm no son of yours" I wish the man can see the hatred I have for him in my heart. I only hate him because of the name-calling. I know he's older and all that but I want to be addressed the way I want.
Donald Smith:" Always rude but I understand. I know you had no fatherly guidance while growing up but no worries, Daddy Donny is here for you " He knows he's pushing the wrong button.
" Mr Smith, I'd prefer being fatherless any day, any time than to have a paedophilic as a father like Mr Smith senior. I'm deeply sorry for your child abuse and violations from your father which lead to your present daddy- issues predicament. I am a businessman and time is money" I can feel his boiling rage from this side of the telephone as hear his deep breathing. He's probably breathing fire!
Donald Smith:" Richard, you know the deal and you're trespassing..."
" Now I get your frustrations and sorrows. Oh poor thing! Look, you pulled me to you when you took Death for granted and embraced the fire of Hades. Bring it on Mr Smith! I'll be waiting!" I hanged up.
The metro oil and gas company is a cover-up front for the Smiths illegal dealings. They do drugs and trafficking but the deal was for them to do their drug deals at their territory while the trafficking anywhere they want. We, the Twelve brotherhood only do drugs nothing attached.
But the smiths were greedy and they trespassed to our territory first. The smiths is family business. Every Smith both young and old, male and female are part of the family business. They traffick at all our territories because we don't do trafficking.
When Emeka told me about their trespassing, I did my confirmation and the brotherhood decided that the Smiths will do no drugs anywhere in any territory at all.
" Emeka, naija boy! "Emeka is a Nigerian man who's been in the brotherhood longer than I have. He inherited the business from his father, okonkwo. The first Nigerian to join the brotherhood.
Emeka: " Boss Death! I hail o! Abeg make Death come, I'm forever ready!" He's accent is very fascinating and I like that about him. I put him in charge of all the Smith's territories and he's forever grateful.
" Emeka, that old fool called me now ranting. It's obvious business has been down these days. Look I want us to attack first before they do. I don't like any complications. Deal with them! Bring Death to their doorpost!"
Emeka: order finalized. Boss as you talk ham na so e be ( it will be as you ordered) Death they shall see.
My mentor, Mayor Zulu taught me to always attack first and clear the ground as I do so that, my enemies will feel powerless and fearful. They'll learn the hard way, the smiths will learn the hard way.
I paged all the brotherhood the attack mode. The smiths should be on Eight O'clock news tomorrow. I'll be waiting.
Ashley
They didn't even wait for me to recover fully. I was pregnant again six months after the birth of my Moon'. This time I wasn't lucky...the tummy was bigger than ever. I didn't understand anything. I felt kicks from every angle of my tummy.
Bahle had a set of twins but one didn't make it. It drove her to insanity. They even took the one week old surviving child from her. She became self-destructive.
She no longer sleeps at the room. She prefers the delivery room more. The security were always torturing her. They even gang r***d her but she didn't even notice. She's always spaced out. Bahle became a shadow of her bubbly self. I tried talking to her but she didn't hear a thing I said. They finally let her be.
My third pregnancy was a tough one. I was always very uncomfortable. I voiced out to doctor Segundo and he told me 'pregnancy differs' but I know there's more to it. He didn't let me see the ultrasound like usual and was unusually excited for the baby.
One evening while we were watching movies as usual, the kicks became unbearable that all the Brooders around gathered and began consoling me. I pulled my dress up and I saw many of them gasp. I saw the look on their faces. The oldest brooder, Mamacita, touched every angle of my stomach and smiled...
" You have a blessed womb, my little one" she said tearfully. I didn't know the reasons for her gloomy face . I couldn't tell if she was happy for me or not but I could tell something is definitely wrong with me.
Bahle: what's the essence of having a blessed womb if your twins will still be taken from you? What??? Whyyyyy?
She wailed as she shouted. It was the first time she spoke in months but it wasn't really pleasant.
We all heard an old folklore song from an Indian brooder named Priya...
" Oh momma, why didn't you tell me?"
" That beautiful rose had thorns"
" Oh momma, why did you not say"
" That the floppin fish has fins"
" Now it hurts, I have fallen "
" And I can't dare to rise"
" Cause my momma never said this"
We all sang together, each one of us crying bitterly.
" Oh momma, why did you not say?
" That the fashionable scorpions sting"
" Oh momma, why didn't you tell me?"
" That my black mamba bites "
" Now it hurts, I've fallen"
" And I can't dare to stand"
" Cause momma never said that"
We hugged ourselves till we heard the sleep time intercoms and we will raise to retire to bed.
Mamacita: I didn't feel two babies Ashley. I felt six babies...
