Claire felt so frustrated that she stumped her foot hard on the ground. She got another cab and went back to the office. Mr Royston was amazed at how fast Claire got her task done and was about to commend her when she explained what happened. After listening to Claire, Mr. Royston agreed to fix the interview to another day. Richard drove into the gates of the event hall where the party was held. He was greeted respectfully and was granted entrance immediately. He walked straight into the manager's office and requested or somehow commanded the man to show him the footage from the party but to his dismay the footage had been deleted. He walked out of the place with his annoyance fueled ten times when he arrived. "I have to know the truth no matter what" sitting in his car. Bethany sat at a cornering the bar getting very drunk. A young man stood behind the counter looking at her once in awhile as he served the other customers. He was not too surprised with the way she drank herself to stupor because several woman visited the bar and drank themselves silly but he was just curious about her. The bar he worked for closed when the time strikes one o'clock. His work here would soon be ending in an hour time and the bar would be closing for some hours. he took his eyes off her and then when he went back to look at her, he realized that she had fallen asleep with her head on the table. She suddenly raised her head, waking up and looking around. She stood up staggering and fumbled about for her purse. In her drunken state she picked up her shoes and handbag but it slipped fron her hand. She bent low to pick it from the floor where it had fallen and stood up. She swayed back and forth and fell. it seemed like she lost consciousness. "s**t!" The bar attendant cursed attracting the attention of his fellow staffs who looked in his line of sight. A scowl appeared on his face, this was the part he hated in his job. He ran around the counter and made his way to the lady lying on the floor. He shook her a bit before carrying her in his hand to the manager of the hotel who lodged her in one of the bar's hotel rooms. Gabriel watched as a tall man walked towards his direction. He looked like a television star and Gabriel recognized him immediately and walked up to him. "How is she?" He asked a thin line arching his eye brow. Gabriel had called the last called contact on Bethany's phone, it was easily accessible as there was no security code. "She is awake in that ward." Gabriel said hiding a yawn. He had come to the nearest hospital after Bethany started hyperventilating. He didn't wait any second and walked away from Richard without waiting for any appreciation. Richard stared at him for awhile without and quickly rushed to his sister's ward, meeting her awake. He rushed to her side and caught her trying to fake sleep but he already caught her eyes opened. "How are you doing," He said , hiding his disappointment of her drinking herself silly in a bar. Her eyes blinked and she hurriedly said before he could ask. "I am sorry, I just wanted a night out just for myself." "I was worried!" He said sternly, his temper calmed after seeing her blink her eyes cutely at him. Their parents walked in and the smile fell off her face as she set her eyes on her parents. As expected, they began to scold her while Richard smirked shaking his head. Gabriel walked to the front of his apartment and opened his door. He walked in feeling a little bit stressed. He had used half of his day off in taking the girl to the hospital and waiting for one of her family members after giving the responsibility by the management. He went to his fridge to take a bottle of cold yoghurt and slumped in bed. Bethany stared at her brother who sat next to her bed. Right from childhood, they had shared a strong bond and he didn't want to leave her immediately because of her feeble health. "The bar attendant who helped me here, was he compensated?" She asked nonchalantly. "No, he went away immediately after I came," Richard replied absentmindedly as he focused on his work. "Oh! " she exclaimed. She felt her should have been compensated. She believed everyone wants money and would always collect money for their every help. She didn't want him to go on social media to tarnish her family image though she was on disguise as she didn't want the fans hovering around her quiet time. Bethany was a girl who felt money could get her anything and she could not be wholly blamed for it as it was her upbringing. She didn't care about people except her family and they were so dear to her. She made up her mind to meet the bar attendant so that she would compensate him and stop him from talking bad about her on media. Some hours later, she was discharged and the next day, she visited the bar. She walked majestically into the bar, holding her head high and attracting attention. She smirked as she recognized the bar attendant behind the counter working as usual. She walked to him and stood behind the counter with a smile. He returned it half heartedly. Then his face turned serious the next second. "Hello, Can I have a word with you?" "Sure," He replied her with narrowed eyes, wondering what she wanted to talk about. "I appreciate your help to me last two nights..." She paused and rummaged her bag. She brought a check and stretched it at him. His eyes narrowed further wondering what she was doing. He kept quiet and calmly stared at her. "Here, this is a compensation for helping me." Gabriel kept looking at her with the calm and collected stare. After a while, he replied to her; "Who said I needed compensation or whatever you are calling it?" "That's what most of you people want. When you help others, you expect a reward and the last thing I need is for you to bring it on the internet." Bethany said elegantly flipping her hair. Gabriel sighed before day to Bethany "I don't need any reward," He said irritated by her rudeness. Bethany's eyes raked him up and down before saying "If that's what you want. Anyways, good day to you, gentle man." She said walking away but not before taking in his attractive features. Gabriel looked at her retreating figure in disbelief before he walked behind the counter.
