“Hello Mr. Townson, my name is Dr. Starnes here at Mercy Hospital. I’m sorry to disturb you. We had somewhat of a challenge in trying to reach you; it seems the number that we had on file is no longer in service. I’m sorry to inform you that your son passed away today due to the severe complications that he had at birth,” a sober Doctor Starnes advised before continuing.
“Dr. Peterson and I, as well as a team of doctors, did everything we could to save your son, but the premature birth, along with him having a severe respiratory condition was too much for his small and underdeveloped body to handle. Please come down as soon as you can, as you know, arrangements will need to be made.”
