Doctor Matthew knew that that was the last day he would be walking the corridors of his clinic. He had already completed his task and all that remained was finalizing the impromptu project he had been given. He nodded as he passed his employees, most working on the new strays that had been found, others on the new patients. He did not partake in the tasks despite different pet owners demanding that he attend to their pets.
His ‘office ‘ was located on the third floor, not heavily secured so as not to raise suspicion, but his employees knew not to check in on him. At 2 pm he always had someone who brought him lunch and water and no one else was allowed to disturb him throughout the day.
