Once Sonia and Joseph returned, we called an emergency meeting. Max is still making calls while we wait for everyone to join us. When Sonia and Joseph enter, Joseph makes his way to Max and Sonia walks toward me.
"He settled in really quickly with the others." She leans in to tell me.
"Thanks, it hasn't been a whole day and I already miss him." I ball my hands anxiously.
"I know the feeling but when the work is done we'll get to see our babies again," she gives me a nod in solidarity and takes a seat at the table. I take my seat at the head of the table, signaling to the others that were about to begin. I look over to Max, who gives me a reassuring smile before looking at the others.
