Due to what happened earlier, Andrei and Zea became awkward again. They camped with a mix of embarrassment and annoyance. Not as happy as they were while setting up the tent.
“Sorry,” Andrei said in a low voice. But he was sure Zea heard him because she was standing next to him.
They were grilling meat together. The kids were busy playing, so no one was bothering them anymore.
“Mmm,” Zea replied.
Andrei realized that Zea was in a bad mood. That's why he apologized.
“Don't take it personally. Just consider it a small accident.”
“Mmm.”
Andrei looked at Zea. Then he took over the food tongs she was holding.
“Just sit down. I'll handle the cooking,” he instructed.
Zea shook her head firmly. “No. I don't like sitting still,” she said curtly, while snatching back her food tongs.
