The huge flight of stairs finally came to an end which I was glad for; Though I was used to walking a lot since I am always bustling around the marketplace, I was not used to climbing uphill like these stairs. The intimidating view of the Kings broad shoulders and his muscular back that his shirt did nothing to hide was a sight that I could do without despite the emotions it elicited. We now approached a long hallway riddled with gold accents from the warm glow of the candles lit in their holders to the framing of the marvelous doors with their intricate handles. The red carpet that ran along the middle of the hall was undoubtedly soft, my muddy shoes sank at every step, leaving an imprint behind. The king however, left no footprints in the plush carpet.
