We were now making our way back to the main grounds in which we arrived from, back to Calzem. My hand, pulsing with the shallow cut I made kept throbbing uncomfortably, but nothing was more suffocating than the air that now surrounded the King. When the Queen had given her opinion on the prophecy, the King had immediately started up out of his chair and motioned for me to do the same. He had offered no goodbyes to the Queen, who had a lilting smirk, and I did not have the time too extend the courtesy as we quickly rushed out of there. It seemed as if the ground were on fire because he did not even bother to make Calzem scent his hand as he did before and just situated himself on the back with no more than two steps, still as graceful despite his haste.
