It was far too early for me to go to work yet, but I didn't tell Erik this as I slid into the seat next to him. His hair was still tousled from sleep and his eyes hung low as he stared blankly at the dining table. I figured he didn’t get as much rest as I hoped he would, with the sounds he had been making through the night. Still, the sun was yet to come up so I figured he had some time to make up for it.
