Confusion set in when I got back to my room. What the hell was I thinking agreeing to share the same space with Gideon tonight when I was moving next week and he was going out of his way to make sure I left even faster? I wasn't even gonna lie to myself; it hurt me a lot with the way he behaved at dinner. It was like he'd already forgotten about me. He didn't even object when Greg asked me out to Cherries. Instead of stepping in and staking his claim as a man, he'd simply walked away, without even eating. Was my presence irritating to him all of a sudden? And why the hell was I overthinking this s**t?
