And so for the next month Lukas was embroiled in such an intense training that even his sister could barely meet with him in the end. And even as he worked hard and pushed himself against his current limits, he still had the mind to optimize his time further so he can increase his overall strength while at the same mastering the common knowledge and customs that were common in the continent of Lush. For the next few days Lukas would wake up way early in the morning, do his morning chores and that including refilling his water containers in the bathroom and prepping all of his robes before doing some warm up exercises in his own room. At first it was profoundly hard for him to even go through 20 minutes of exercise before sweating and groaning but he knew he needed the fitness regime to be a part of his new life. And what's a better way to incorporate such a thing than early in the morning before his optimum meditation hours. Right after that he showers and then meditates while facing the morning sun. And in this world nearly the same notion could be applied as in right at the cusp of the rising sun, the transition from night to day allowed the surrounding mana to be richer, fuller and even purer. Following the same lines, even the elements in the airs were most docile making it easier for mages to meditate as they absorb the mana in their body for accumulation and the elements in the air for more comprehension toward their spells. 3 hours meditation was long enough for him to rest, increase his own mana and comprehend his own light element. What followed next was the lesson conducted by the Lecturers of the Cathedral. These lecturers were usually the inner disciples and they conducted lessons twice a week on a continuous rotation. Lukas found himself learning a lot of new and collective knowledge that he took, learned and the dissected all for his own use. And since he was transmigrator, he couldn't help but add his own mixture of creativity in reaching his goals though he was ultimately careful. It wasn't easy, though with time he formed his own bag of tricks that he had no idea that one day they would astounded world and spread his name in fame. And in the absence of any lessons from the inner disciples came the new addiction that Lukas didn't even take long to develop. Spell casting. Lukas was fully enraptured and entranced with his new ability to cast spells. The feeling of having mana coursing in his veins and the control of elements in the air before manifesting his own will inform of spells of wide variety and colors made his body and mind dance at an all time high that what seemed to be minutes were actually hours passing him by. And even after few days of excitement, he was able to clam his mind and actively observe if he could apply any of his previous world notions into his new world. Things like mana cost of each spells, apparent cool downs, casting time, spell channeling time etc. and in the process he discovered that although some of the concepts were very, the rest were either unimportant and very unrealistic and therefore could not be used since in reality there were a lot of more factors and variables that he had to keep mind. Sine spell casting didn't only cost mana from the body but also focus sustained by his mind. And in addition the strength of his spells largely depended on how much deeper his comprehension was towards his Elemental Light. With all these factors and more Lukas tried to his best to optimize just how many spells he could cast in one sitting, the different variety of spells he could use and how long of a casting time do some more powerful spells take. Since god forbid he found himself locked in the casting animations while he was under attack just like what happened in many games from his previous world several time over. But in this world, it was a reality that won't end with him in a game over, it would end with him bruised, severely injured and even worse death. And to his surprise he discovered that the world of spell casting was huge and humongous than he could ever imagine. In the continent of Lush Most spells were casted in 3 different methods. Intent Manifestation (which he later called Visualization) where a caster had a clear image of the spell he wanted to cast before casting. This was profoundly done easier with the simple spells and even some medium tier spells though they were also easier to interrupt if the caster didn't have a strong will and focus. The 2nd method involved invocations and incantations. These spells were for medium and stronger spells. In which it needed a buffer time of castings, using the Aramaic language of spells before letting out a stronger spell. The incantations helped in bring the intended result for the caster and also helped them hone their will and focus in casting but the downside involve knowing and understanding the very words used in casting since in a little error, the spells won't materialize or on extreme cases it rebounded back to the caster. The 3rd method involved using an external medium in the process of casting. This is usually used in tandem of with invocations and incantations though on rare chances it could be used without. Some of the strongest spells or technique ones needed a specific medium in order to be cast and this can include simple materials such a beast core, an exotic plant or even a special kind of ore; or something more advanced like a specific artifact or laid formations. Not excluding specific materials concocted by the alchemists and artifact refiners. This was a level Lukas hadn't reached yet as he was still a foundational mage and his knowledge base was too low. So the plan Lukas came up with was to repeatedly cast and familiarize himself with few specific spells that needed no incantation firsts, like the famous shield of light spell that most priest of light were known for and the Spell: Solar Flare that his previous host had a mystical connection with. Surprised by its destruction and multipurpose Lukas immediately took a liking it. The spell had a potential crowd control as in it could blind with a sharp glare of light and at higher levels the rays of light could decimate his enemies. In addition he can even use it as a flare, sending it directly into the sky in case he runs into trouble which was a common function that almost every priest of light went for in leaning this spell. Making the spell have a 3 layered multipurpose with much more versatility than other beginner spells. But all of these spells were only intended for one purpose and in one purpose only; to fulfill his kit as a Priest of Light.
