Jesse’s eyes kept scanning the room, sliding up and down all the chairs, the tables and the people. it was sem- dark, and he could be gone in a few seconds.
What if he just dashed out and ran away, without trying to make it fast? What if he simply excused himself and went to the bathroom, AND never came back?
It wasn’t like he was going to see the guy again.
But what if Edward got up after him and arrested him right then and there?

Cops didn’t do that.
He’s come after him to the restroom, and then cuff him, or kick his ass outside, where there were no people who could see Edward beating his ass.
He was too hot, though… That guy was too damn hot.
