Morning light found Rowan still at the outer edge and the whole garden seemed to wait for their first word. I walked out of the grove with Julian at my side. Neri and Kael were already nearby, keeping a respectful distance. Voss stood a little farther back with two of the song learners. Rowan rose when they saw us.
