CHAPTER 10
Freya had escorted Jesse to the same room she had escaped from just five days ago. It was one of the larger rooms in the manor, and had been dubbed the timbre suite, since most of the furnishing, including the panelled walls, had been made from high-quality wood. It was also one of the few rooms to have its own en-suite bathroom, which in the case of this room, had been hidden behind the panelling to give it a secret passage kind of feel. In preparation for her return, the room had been emptied of all furnishings but for the large, heavy four-poster bed which sat on a thick woven rug to stop the polished wooden floor being scuffed.
