Aliyah’s POV I sped off again, the wind whipping against my face, the roar of the bike drowning out everything else. Every lap I took made my resolve stronger. The faster I went, the freer I felt. The baby was safe. The doctors said so. That was all that mattered. But when I stopped for a break, I felt the ache deep in my lower belly.
