The world is big, filled with different types of people. People of different colors and nationalities, and there are of course those with different preference. In todays time where a majority of people would go into relationships just to test the waters, falling in love seems so far fetched for them. There are billions of people you've yet to meet, even in a person's lifetime, it's almost impossible to meet half of the world. With that being said, how would you find your mate? "A soulmate? like the concept from those werewolf stories online?" A girl who looked barely passed the age of 10 asked the man who was sitting beside her on the park's bench. The man with gentle hazel eyes who was sitting upright and staring forward at the swaying leaves of the trees in the park just smiled, this man despite having the eyes that wouldn't be able to hurt a soul, had a big and rugged body. Layered cuts could be seen along the veins of his arms that were uncovered due to him wearing a plain white shirt. He had blond disheveled hair that is tied with an old black hair tie with a broken cat bead that looks as if it were sloppily tied back a few times. The young girl just stared at the man. Despite her remembering the words of the adults surrounding her to never talk with strangers, she just sat there despite the towering man approached her earlier. The man who was silent this whole time stood up. The young girl's eyes followed the man's movement. "Grow up brave and strong. Don't let anyone decide your life for you." The man walked forward a step, two steps, then three. He stopped then turned around. He stared at the confused face of the young girl. Someone was yelling from a distance, they seemed to be the young girl's parents. However, despite their loud shouting, the young girl was completely focused on what the man was saying. The wind started blowing as the sun started to set behind the man in front of her. "Fight... for them..." the young girl, not understanding what the man meant, still listened. The parent's of the girl were only a few second away when the man continued the last few lines that made the young girl view life differently. "Don't...." Hurried footsteps could be heard coming from the right side of the girl. thump The young girl felt her heart skip a beat. Everything was hazy and she started swaying. She saw the man run to the woods, then suddenly turning into something that was never taught by her kindergarten. Something she couldn't explain, she couldn't find the words to describe it despite going through thousands of books. The words were echoing in her head, the sky was spinning when her parents reached her. She felt her father's warm arms wrapping around her as the steps of their bodyguards could be heard running after the man who transformed. Her mother was on the side with worried eyes while rubbing the girl's head. For the last time, she heard the sadness in the man's voice as he spoke those words. "Don't get played by destiny." And everything went black.
