"What are you doing?" Yohan asked me when he saw me sitting in the living room on the 2nd floor. We had already eaten and cooked our dinner, and I remembered my unfinished work, sending an email to one of our clients. The report had to be sent tonight.
"Just doing a little work for tomorrow, why didn't you eat earlier? Was our cooking that bad?"
"Why are you bringing it up to being bad? I just didn't have an appetite. Is your work complicated?" he asked, looking at my laptop screen.
"Well, maybe..." I replied.
"Are you going to pick a fight with me too?" I think his sensitivity is coming out again here.
"Isn't everything you say just baiting for a fight?" I replied casually, picking up a macaron and closing the laptop I was using. "What did I say that made you feel like I was picking a fight with you?"
"Your indifferent answers, they seem so perfunctory to me... and maybe sensitive to some women.." "sensitive"
"I don't know what made you fight with her today... but, considering that we still have a long time together, we should try to maintain our relationship with each other," I said, somehow advising him.
I then saw him get up and go to the women's room on the 2nd floor and talk to Yuri, they are on the 2nd floor terrace right now.
"Did you tell him to go see Yuri?" Yoong-Jae asked... I nodded
"He seems to like her, but I also feel like they..." he continued
"Have you spoken to Yuri?" I asked
"No, you're her roommate, you must know her better..."
"Not really... I feel like I don't know my roommate...
"Sometimes the people closest to us are the ones we can't know the best... I don't understand why Yohan is acting like this either...
"I'm sure something happened between them when they were alone..." Seok-Hoon said, sitting between me and Yoong-Jae. His statement opened a black box in my brain.
"You mean, they were on a date today?" Yoong-Jae asked
"I think so" Seok-Hoon continued.
Suddenly, Hana came and gave a code to call Seok-Hoon downstairs.
"I think Hana is interested in Seok-Hoon," I said, nodding.
"Do you know who's starting to like you?" I asked him and he answered with a slight, unsure nod. To be honest, I'm still curious about what happened to Yuri and Yohan. As the others started watching together, I went to my room, alone... thinking about everything that has happened in the past 5 days.
Questions: Am I bothered by Hana's feelings for Seok-Hoon? Am I starting to be attracted to someone here? Or am I just curious because Hana knows that Seok-Hoon is money-oriented?
"What made you fight with her?" I asked as Yuri entered our room.
"Nothing," she replied.
"I've never actually seen you two fight before?"
"Do you want to see me and him fight in person?" she asked with a laugh.
"That's not what I meant..."
"I know... I guess I just don't get along with him... On the first day, we were really close," she explained.
I vaguely remembered the events of the first day. Honestly, I don't remember it much, because I was too preoccupied with my own thoughts to adapt to this strange house and environment. I remember that they were the source of our laughter, because they were so lively, noisy, and also mischievous with each other.
"I know he doesn't mean any harm. I don't hate him either, but sometimes his mischievousness is at the wrong time. That's what makes us fight. I didn't hit him, I was just about to hit him and he knocked over a pan of hot oil and hurt his own hand. But the others thought we were having a big fight. It's not like you imagine... you know how we taunt each other, right?" Yuri said, and I just nodded.
