Darwin, Kellen’s beta, lay sprawled on the cold concrete floor, bleeding and barely conscious. He didn’t need chains or restraints—his body was already too broken to move. His face was so swollen and bruised it barely resembled a wolf, and his ribs rose and fell shallowly, each breath a struggle. Dan and Andrew had already done half of my job for me.
