They all started grumbling and trooping out one by one. Some of those who stayed annoyed me even more. As they were leaving, I spotted the guy from the restaurant - the one who had approached me earlier.
Why is he at this party? Does he know Isabella? I didn’t pay much attention as I watched him leave. I picked up the cups and dumped them in the kitchen trash just as Isabella ran up to my side.
“Why the f**k would you do that?!” she tugged at my arm, trying to pull me back.I said nothing and continued cleaning my home.
“I’m talking to you, Anyssa.”
“And I don’t want to respond to you. Isn’t that clear? You know what? Leave…I want you to leave! Get out!”
She was shocked. She staggered back, letting the wine glass in her hand fall and shatter. That meant more cleaning.
