LOGAN'S POV
"Sir, the Serpentines are having a party tonight and you are to attend with Miss Scarlet Thompson. I've already sent Miss Thompson her dress and your tuxedo is in your car like you instructed." Valerie Jarrett, my new secretary, informed me of my last task before the day ended.
"Thanks, Miss Jarrett. You may end your shift now. Go home early." I replied, while I stared at my laptop.
My desktop background was Mia's beautiful face, back when she was young and very different from who she is now.
It was her first award for Best Media Breakthrough Entertainment Partner of the Year, it was me who took her picture in that stage and I was the proudest amongst the crowd.
'I hope she knows that..' I sighed, tired but still not in the mood to come home.
