Calypso watched Diana intently, slowly processing the information. The explanation should have calmed her, but instead, it confused her further.
The thought that she possessed something so valuable that an Alpha was willing to pay a high price for her never came to Calypso’s mind, but how could it? Having been told every day of how worthless she was, she finally started to believe it.
“I’m sorry...” Diana spoke and dragged Calypso out of her line of thought, “I can’t tell you any more than this.”
“It’s okay, you’ve said plenty, thank you.”
Though the information didn’t help with her anxieties, Calypso was still thankful. At least she wasn’t completely clueless about what was going on.
“You should freshen up, after all, you will be meeting Alpha Valric tonight”, Diana suggested
