Zane didn't need to say anything.
His meaning was already obvious.
Mr. and Mrs. Quinn looked at Shawna in shock, while Shawna looked at Zane in equal disbelief.
'Is he deliberately trying to make them hate me even more?'
Mrs. Quinn was the first to ask, "You're planning to take this woman?"
"If not her, then who?"
Zane was perfectly calm, his brow lifting slightly.
"Shawna is my wife in name, and she is Liam's mother. If I attend the Linton family birthday banquet with another woman, wouldn't that just give people something to laugh about?"
The moment he said this, the room fell silent.
Mr. and Mrs. Quinn exchanged a glance, temporarily at a loss for words.
Shawna, however, was practically rolling her eyes on the inside.
