The days turned into weeks, and the alliance between Luna’s pack and the Silver Moon pack grew stronger. The rogue wolves had been driven back, and a tentative peace settled over the forest. Luna’s heart sank. “What happened?”

Ryder stood up, his jaw clenched. “We need to go. Now.”

Ryder surveyed the scene with a steely gaze. “We need to find out what happened.”

Luna nodded and approached one of the injured wolves. “Can you tell us what happened?”

The wolf winced in pain but managed to speak. “We were patrolling the border when the rogues ambushed us. They were led by Marcus.”

Luna’s eyes widened in shock. “Marcus? But we captured him.”

The wolf shook his head. “He escaped. He must have had help.”

Ryder’s expression darkened. “We need to find him. He won’t stop until he’s destroyed everything we’ve built.”

As they tended to the wounded and prepared for the next steps, Luna couldn’t help but feel a sense of dread. Marcus was a cunning and ruthless enemy, and his escape meant that their troubles were far from over.

That night, as they sat around the campfire, Luna turned to Ryder. “We need to be ready for anything. Marcus won’t stop until he’s taken everything from us.”
