Chapter 2

Amelia's POV:

He gestured to me to sit in front of him. He is a tall built man with brown hair and grey eyes. I have his grey eyes but honeycomb hair. He is a very caring and stern person. But sometimes, when he gets mad he behaves like a child throwing a tantrum and now is one of that moment.

He wants me to inherit his company but I am more interested in technology than his company. Now he will pester me about that.

'How have you been?' , he said. 'I am well dad. How about you and how's the company. ', I said.

'I am well as you can see and pretty mad at you. The company is also good. 'he said without looking at me.

Before I can say anything mom called us for dinner. We went down to the dinner area and mom is bringing the food and I helped her.

We sat at the table and start our dinner. We eat peacefully with chatting a little until mom served me more food and I refused.

'Just eat more. Look at you. You had become more skinny. Aren't you eating enough?? ' she said with worried face.

'I already had eaten enough mom.I can't eat more. 'I said to her. She then look at dad. A look that tells him to say something to me.

'You have lose a quite weight your mom is right.Aren't you earning enough to eat three meals a day ? I told you to join my company for part time and get a good salary so you can be as independent as you want to become. But now look at you .You have gone from a healthy child to an unhealthy one. ' he said and then sigh.

'I am earning enough dad to meet my ends. I am just losing a bit of weight to get fit mom and dad it's nothing else. 'I said.

I don't want to make them worry as I am on my own and don't want any help from them as I know dad's company went through a downfall. So, I don't want to be a burden on them. I thought .

'And for joining your company, you know I don't like working in a company whose work is different from mine. I am interested in technology and in not any electric company. And I also don't want your employees to have another topic to gossip about as you are unfavorable by taking your daughter to your company who doesn't know anything about working in an electrical company. So, stop pestering me about joining your company.'I said I was getting annoyed.

Dad is about to say something as mom says to be quiet and enjoy our dinner as I visit only once in two weeks. We both nodded and began eating peacefully again. After dinner, we eat chocolate Ganache. I love it!! Mom always makes the best chocolate Ganache. We chatted a lot and I told them about my internship they were both happy. Actually, dad was not happy at first because he lost the chance to convince me to inherit his company. But he got a stern look from mom and then he smiled at me. Mom is overwhelmed about listening to this. She hugged me and said she is proud of me. I share more details about internships with them. Dad was awestruck when I told him I got an internship at Google. His jaw drops open and he is staring at me with eyes full of pride and some tears. He then hugged me and said he is proud of me and now will fully support me in my career. Now it's time for me to be shocked and I recovered from it quickly and hugged him tightly. Mom also came and we did a group hug. I will see both of them

After that, we went to our rooms and I am happy that now dad is also fully supporting me in my career. After that, I changed into my night dress and slept peacefully.
