Hidden Gifts

It has been a while that I have gone hunting. Marshal said that hunting alone in the Forest of Truth was necessary since I have just turned 18th and I had to discover my special gifts that every vampire was born with. I ran as fast as I could deep into the forest and found a giant bear beside the huge ancient tree. I need to feed….I need to hunt…. I waited quietly near a big boulder, for the bear to finish his food. I was wondering about the hidden gifts that Marshal spoke about. He always said that I was special..very special. I even being a Vampire could walk in Sun, read minds, Survive without blood for days, could eat human food and travel from one dimension to other easily, run fast , float in air, what else could be hidden ? what are my gifts….I thought and in fact I was already different from many others. It has been a while and I snapped out of my thoughts on hearing a loud growl… the beast was already ready to attack me but I swiftly moved behind it and tackled it to the ground. I just sank my fangs which came out naturally on his neckline when to my surprise a sharp pain caught me at my back. I turned and saw a large giant tiger who had clawed me from the back. I turned leaving the bear to hold the large beast behind by it’s throat and fell on ground with a loud thud ! The beast jumped over me with it’s bare canines and I growled with my hands moving towards the beast which I was sure will sink it’s canines into my bare flesh! But …whoosh ! something happened …I looked with wide eyes and completely stunned… there was a deadly silence all around…the air was still and the beasts froze in their places…. It was as if the time has stopped !! Yes, the time ! It was unbelievable ! I moved by hand in a reversed circle and what happened was just unbelievable again ! I was near the bolder again and I could see the bear eating his food near the tree. There were neither the scratches on my back, nor the puncture on the bears neckline which I am sure I made while I fed on it ! Whow! Did I just reverse the time!!

Yessss ! I did ! I found out one of my hidden gifts !

I know now what exactly I need to do. I had to wait. After what seems about 15 mins I found the bear suddenly turns towards me ready to attack and immediately I make out a loud roar on top of my voice and push my hands in the air.. and everything goes still ! I swiftly move to the bear frozen in it’s place and dig in my fangs on it’s neckline and feed for some time and as soon as I unfreeze the time again, the bear collapsed on the ground. I turned and waited and in not more than a few seconds a huge tiger jumps out of the bushes and leaps towards me with it’s bare pointed canines and it was easier this time! Whoosh ! the tiger froze in mid air ! I finished feeding on it as well and unfreezed the time.

It was a wonderful feeling , fun but added responsibility too.

I was happy and excited and couldn’t wait to share this with Marshal and my parents who would be definitely very proud of me.
