Author’s POV
“I said move fast. You have the audacity to hear but not move as per my command, DON’T YOU ?” the lady shouted at the quite girl standing in the middle of the vast room which was painted of white colour with gold patterns on it and the huge pillars before the giant window was adding to the beauty of the spacious room. “Won’t you say any damn thing in your defence ?” she shouted again but suddenly felt a tiny bit of guilt and spoke with less harshness, “ Oh! How could I forget, you’re the mute one.” But the emotionless girl just stood there with no fear. Turning to the door, the lady commanded to the woman standing by her side, “Get these girls ready, I’ll come in half an hour and if any of them resists, just call me I’ll handle.” with that being said she left the room.
The woman gave each girl a dress -a pretty dress- and fearing the lady who just left, all the girls wore their respective clothes and looked pretty despite many bruises on their faces. Right after half an hour, the lady came back and locked eyes with every girl but mostly with the quiet girl standing at the end wearing a long red frock looking aesthetic. “Lemme introduce myself, I’m Ms Cristina, The Master’s personal secretary. I’m here to dress you girls which I’m glad you already are. As you girls know you’re here for an auction so I’ll introduce you with the rules or to be more accurate - precautionary measures.” Observing some girl’s scared expressions she added, “ I don’t wanna be mean as I’m also a woman, therefore, I just wanna inform you that now that you have unexpectedly stepped into this mansion so it’s impossible to put your foot outta here. Now back to the rules; the most important - DO NOT UTTER A WORD until and unless you’re asked to. Secondly, put your head down and don’t peak whoever buys you. And thirdly, just pray for your good.” Hearing this quiet of a speech, some of the girls became stone and some were shedding tears of their fate unlike the girl in red standing fearless and emotionless.
“Now move for your future.”
