Getting Home

I reach over to the car console and turn on the radio and grab the cord and plug in my phone, I click on my cell phone screen and open up the Spotify app and find the playlist labeled “My Music” and hit play with the shuffle on and the song “ All Star” by smash mouth come out of the car speakers, looking over at Bear I laugh and then turn the knob to turn the volume to max and start singing along knowing all the words and rock the top of my body and move my hands around making some gestures and moving my arms around not giving a care in the world that I look silly. I hear Bear laughing and join singing along with me with huge smiles on both our faces, I yell out to Bear “ We should totally watch Shrek tomorrow, you know this song makes me want to watch it” Bear reaches over and turns down the volume some so we aren’t yelling at each other the whole way home and I frown “hey” And playfully hit his arm “oh hush you” he replies “ that’s a definite yes on movie night, it’s been way too long since I’ve watched that movie” I smile “yay! I can’t wait, oh by the way what outfit ideas are you thinking for both of us tonight?” I poke his arm playfully “ you’ll see what I have planned we get home” he smirked.

Bear turns the car left pulling in the parking lot and parking in our parking spot and shifting the car in park I unstrap my seat belt grab my bag and open the door once I’m out of the car I shut it and hear the beep of the alarm locking it secure, I walk around the car and look around the lot and loop my arm around Bears arm in a singing voice “just because I’m nice person I’ll let you shower first, I wanna take a bath and relax my muscles some before we head out” I whisper “plus I need to shave all my goods” we reach the elevator push the button and get inside when it arrives I lean over and push the button for our floor and leaned back. I put my head on Bears arm and closed my eyes “should I take a nap while I wait for you to shower and before mine I make us something to eat, you know the saying eat before you drink I wanna make sure we are good and full before we go out and rested up some” I hear the ding and open my eyes and lift my head up, we both walk out of the elevator and walk to our apartment door , I take out my keys once we get there and unlock the door and head to my head to my room to put my bag away once I’m finished I go to the couch and flop myself down and stretch my feet out , I hear the shower start and Bear pokes his head out “oh by the way I invited Zack to go with us he’ll be over in a little while” I barley hear him and mumble back a soft “okay” as I start to fall asleep.
