Heels clicked, and heads turned. It was an effort not to cringe from the eyes that followed as she crossed the parking lot. It was expected. She was the talk of the town—maybe even the world. Leaving Scotland had been hard, but Ivette had been left with no choice. She had already begun to miss everything. Cian’s family. Cian’s home.
