Sabeline traipsed down the path that had brought her to Dunsaw in the first place. She had secured the horse as quickly and as discreetly as possible. Now all she needed to do was return to Nivres. More than enough time had passed to change form and fly to the meeting place by her reckoning.
As she walked, Sabeline couldn't help but think of the words uttered softly as she galloped away. She had not imagined them, that was for certain.
