Chapter 7: The Past Part 5

Lee had already made up his mind. He would plan a direct ambush tomorrow to avenge what the Reaper had done. He would not be assisted by Richard or the other members of his unit. He is alone this time.

He also disbanded his units to protest against the government and protected his members.

Lee returned to the hotel and devised a strategy for tomorrow. He had to determine how to deal with his many Reapers. He began to open the suitcases one by one and see what he could bring for the next day.

"Looks like I have to use dirty methods this time" Lee took a few grenades and also C4.

He arranged the tools he would bring tomorrow, including knives and guns with silencers. Lee doesn't need to use heavy weapons because he already has grenades and C4. after he was done with that, he decided to sleep.

The next morning, Lee was getting ready to go to the meeting place. He was wearing a bulletproof vest and carrying a bag containing C4 inside. The preparations have been completed. Now it's time to go.

Lee walked from the hotel to a bar not far from where Ricky lived. When he arrived in front of the bar entrance, he was confronted by two guards who also had reaper tattoos.

"What are you doing here? If there is no interest. Just Leave," said one of the guards

"Go to hell!"

Lee threw a kick at one of the guards, who bounced backward, seeing his friend get beaten up. Immediately the other guard attacked Lee, but Lee was more alert and faster. Lee dodged and beat him unconscious.

Lee quickly took out a C4 from his bag and pinned it to the bar entrance, after which he entered the bar and looked for Park. But inside the bar, there are only reaper members relaxing. They were surprised by the arrival of Lee.

Without thinking, Lee shot the Reaper members who were unaware of his presence. Realizing an attack, they immediately returned fire, but what can they do. Lee's experience and skills are far above them, so Lee quickly kills them one by one.

Park, who was relaxing on the third floor of the bar, received information that there was an attack downstairs. He still hasn't fully recovered from being hit by a scratch from Croc's bullet. Immediately he ordered his men to intercept and kill the intruder.

"Who attacked?! Doesn't he know who he's dealing with it?!" Park shouted to his men

"Sorry, sir, our members on the first floor have been swept away by one person!" It was clear that his subordinates

heard this. Park was angry and threw a glass at his men until it hit his head.

"Stupid. Killing just one person, you are incompetent! You all take care of him now! Everything is going crazy! And also, where is Ricky now?!" Park was angry and ordered his men to fix this as soon as possible.

But before his men left the room, Lee first opened the door and threw the unconscious Park's men at him.

"I heard you were looking for Ricky? How do you think I knew about your whereabouts here?" Lee said

"What do you mean? what have you done to him?" Asked Park

"You'll be following him in a minute," Lee shot at the guards near Park.

Park took cover behind his sofa chair, and his men returned fire to Lee. He asked his men to throw guns.

"Hey, quickly give me a weapon!! "

His men threw long guns at Park. Park immediately stood up and shot Lee blindly. He didn't care if the shots hit his men or not.

Lee immediately took cover behind a wall to avoid a bullet from Park. Lee returned the fire, but nothing hit Park. There was a shootout between them. Lee had to clean up his men first before the bullets ran out.

After killing guards around Park, Lee's gun bullets have run out, but he still has a way to fight with Park, who is left alone because his men have been killed by his own hands and Lee.

"Just give up. You'll meet Ricky soon," Lee said

"Who are you? What do you want from me!?"

"I'm here to avenge what you've done," said Lee

"Revenge?" Park is confused

"Haaa, I remember. A few days ago, we killed a man in disguise. Is that your friend?! Hahaha, I'm sorry for him! Died from an explosion and can't do anything about it." Park heats Lee with what he did to Joe.

Lee kept quiet and tried to stay calm so as not to be provoked by Park's words. He then took the glass shards to see the position of the Park. He saw Park was still behind the sofa and was reloading his gun.

"You're done this time," said Lee.

Lee immediately threw a Flashbang at Park to make him blind instantly. Lee used this opportunity to run towards Park. He took the knife in his vest and threw it at Park, who was upright and rubbed his eyes. The knife was stuck in Park's shoulder, the scar from Croc's shot.

Lee lunged and kicked Park until he fell. He threw away the weapon in Park's hand. Lee beat up Park until he bled.

"You will soon catch up with my junior," Lee said while beating Park.

After feeling enough to beat Park, Lee took the rope from his vest and tied Park's hands. He asked Park about the Reaper organization and what their goals were.

"I heard you're one of the higher-ups. What's your purpose in coming to this area? And also, How did you find out about the asset named Ricky" Lee asked

"sigh, you think I'll talk? Just kill me now! You won't get anything from me!" Park replied firmly

"I knew you would say something like that. It seems you were taught to die rather than leak information."

Knowing that he would not get anything from Park, Lee checked the drawer in the room. There was a cellphone, a file and also some cash. Lee took the cellphone and took out the money.

"So this money you use in transactions? I'd better burn it."

Lee took the lighter that had his pants and started burning the money. Park could only be silent to see what was done by Lee.

"Looks like you have a lot of money. With this much money I burned, you don't even look like you care," Lee said.

Not long after, he heard the sound of a car coming in front of the bar. Lee looked at the window. Reinforcements from Park have arrived, knowing his help is coming. Park smiled and threatened Lee.

"hahaha, just give up, you won't get out of here alive," Park threatened Lee.

Lee was not afraid of the threat. He just smiled hearing what Park said. Not long after that, there was an explosion at the bar entrance. The C4 attached to the entrance by Lee exploded and closed the entrance.

Park, who heard the explosion, was silent and felt hopeless. Lee immediately took the grenade in his vest and spoke a word to Park.

"Maybe this is the last time you see the world. Give my regards to Ricky" Lee placed the grenade in Park's mouth and pulled the trigger. Park couldn't help but keep trying to get the grenade out. Lee immediately ran upstairs and jumped into the next building.

Not long after that, there was an explosion. Lee managed to avenge his junior. He also realized that his military career was over. He had also disbanded his units.

Lee immediately came down from the building next door and threw away his vest. He returned to the hotel and arranged his things to return. But there was an incoming call into the cellphone that Lee brought earlier.

"Hello, how is my son? is he all right?" Said someone who was none other than Scythe, Park's father

"He's in Hell Right now!" replied Lee.

He also turned off the call and immediately packed up to return to his hometown. When he was about to leave the hotel, he saw a police car rushing towards the scene.

"Hope you Rest In Peace, Joe"
