"How dare you say that to me Amanda? I'm working in this company too. I'm the one who managed the company while you're gone for a business trip. And now you're telling me that I don't have the rights? How could you?" The voices echoed in the hallway. It's not my first time hearing them shouting and screaming like there's no tomorrow. "It's not true Jack it's just that I want Lydia to manage this time. You know, you're a busy man now and you have your business to manage." " Liar." I saw my father walked out with a disappointment on his face. "Allurie hija." I saw my mom walking towards me. "Mom, what happened to you and dad? Why dad is shouting so loud?" She sighed heavily. "As for now it's hard to explain hija. Please understand us now." She smiled and kiss my cheeks. I frowned as I saw my mom leaving again. "Miss Allurie, it's dinner time." A maid called me but I don't have appetite. "I'm full." I go to my room and slammed the door. After a while I heard a knock. "Allurie, open the door!" It's dad. "What now dad?" "Let's eat." "Why, you're not going somewhere?" "I'll be leaving in ten minutes, so we have 5 minutes to eat. Shall we?" One hour may be a long time for them to stay on this house. "Thanks for the time dad." I saw my dad smiling while eating. "How I wish mom would join us someday." " She surely is, it's just that she's too busy this time managing the business." "She's always busy dad." I tried to smile after saying that. "Allurie please understand us. This is for your future. "Okay. " I calmed myself and trying not to cry. I don't want to show them how weak I am. After the dinner dad leave in the house again. This is the sad reality of my life. I live in a big house with maids and drivers but not with my parents. "Good morning Allurie." Servant Lovely smiled at me while holding a cake. "Happy birthday Allurie. You've grown too fast. You're turning 8 now." "Thank you, where's mom and dad?" The smile that I saw a while ago is now gone. "Uhhh.. You're mom is uuhhh.... on a business trip while your dad is leaving a while ago." I saw the sadness on her eyes. "Okay, thank you for the cake. But I'm leaving now. Bye. " Today is my birthday and my parents did not even greeted me. They only have their eyes on their businesses. Am I nothing to them? How pathetic this life I have. While walking in the corridor my tears drop as I am feeling lonely. I want to scream so bad but I'm in the school at this moment. I go to comfort room first to check myself especially my face. And their I saw how red my eyes from crying. I stayed their for a minute and calmed myself. "Allurie Van." The teacher called me while holding a medal. "Congratulations Allurie for being the top 2 on this class. By the way where is your parents? I told you to bring your parents right?" "I'm really sorry Ma'am it's just that they are so busy. " I heared some gossip around me but I don't care. "You're always saying that Allurie. Are they not proud of you? You are one of the best student I had so far in this class." I just frowned after my teacher said that. " Alright, come here I will be serve as your parents today." "Happy birthday Miss Allurie" My driver greeted me with a flower. I was touched by his effort. "Thank you." I smiled so bright to him. "Let's go." As I go inside the car I am hoping that my parents are at home to celebrate my birthday. "Miss Allurie, your dad told me that you must take your diner first as he have some problems on the company." As I've heard that from Servant Lovely I really wanted to cry again. After hearing those words I run as fast as I could and when I arrive at my room I locked the door and cried. This is not the first birthday right Allurie? So why am I still affected? Am I not their daughter? My presence are not important to them. I hated them. I cried so much that night and praying not to saw them again.
