Summer and Esme arrived just under an hour later, Alice had called and ordered pizza and was waiting in the living room with cokes and popcorn so all they had to do once the pizza arrived was choose what to watch. Summer and Esme never seemed shocked anymore about her dad disappearing randomly all the time, yet Alice was shocked every single time it happened.
With a knock on the door they paid for their pizzas and trotted off happily to munch some margherita and some pepperoni pizza. They'd chosen to watch Twilight, Alice was obsessed with the film just as much as she was the books. The idea of finding someone you've been looking for your whole life and managing to keep them with you after all the trials and tribulations appealed to the romantic in Alice.
Once the film was over Esme started babbling on about how excited she was for tomorrow's shopping trip. She loved any excuse to dress Alice and Summer up so this dance just gave her the perfect reason without her having to nag at them.
"Why do you insist on using us like overgrown barbies?" Summer groaned.
"I really don't know why it's such a big deal what we wear to the dance, we're going to have fun I honestly don't care what we look like doing it." Alice shrugged.
"Just please let me do this for the very last time and I promise I'll leave you alone until your wedding days" she smiled sweetly whilst trying to convince them.
"Erm...." Summer said.
"Who said anything about weddings?!" Alice squeaked.
"Well you're two of the most beautiful girls I've ever met, both inside and out. They'd have to be bloody stupid not to snap you girls up!" Esme replied.
"Save the sucking up for IF we ever get married" Alice laughed at Summer's face as she said this.
"Just because you've had your wedding planned since you were 7 years old it doesn't mean everybody feels as passionate about it as you do..." Summer trailed off at the sad look on Esme's face.
"Fine... semi free reign IF we ever get married" Alice said, which made Esme beam from ear to ear.
"You will not regret this!" She almost squealed.
Saturday morning Alice was woke up by Esme dancing round the bedroom in excitement, she looked at her phone to see it was only 7am.
"7am on a Saturday is a sin to get up you know?" Alice mumbled into her pillow.
"I'm just so excited to try on the beautiful dresses and to pick some out for you guys!" Esme exclaimed.
"Just give me until 9 and then I'll muster some movement up from somewhere?" Summer begged.
Esme gave them until bang on 9am, not a minute later.
"Rise and shine sleepy heads, let's get going or someone will snap up your perfect dress!" Esme sung at them.
They both groaned into their pillows and Alice sat up and chucked her pillow at Esme, it was a good shot and got her right on the back of her head. It resulted in her and Summer folded over laughing while Esme stood pouting with her arms crossed glaring at them.
"We're moving, we're moving!" Summer said with her hands up in defeat.
They reached the dress shop with absolutely no need to hurry, hundreds and thousands of dresses remained on the racks. Esme looked like she was absolutely in her element in this shop, her own little personal slice of heaven. She began working her way through the rows of dresses and grabbing dresses to throw at Summer and Alice. Soon they each had their arms full and Esme shouted for them to follow her to the dressing rooms. The look of shock on their faces when Esme told them to try on every single dress they had in their arms until she gave them the ok was unreal. They both started to protest when Esme held a hand up and they both slumped, looked defeated and headed into their own changing cubicles.
