The door looms, heavy wood scarred with old scratches, iron key slick in my palm. Jaxon Callahan’s behind it, my new roommate, and the next test I have to pass. Another set of eyes to fool. Another shot at getting caught. I suck in a steady breath, push the key into the lock, and turn. The hallway’s silent enough that the metal click bounces off the stone.
