Instead of a verbal reply, Simon squeezed his hand. “Getting enough sleep?” he tried again. It was supposed to be a light-hearted question, a bit cheeky perhaps, knowing that they had spent a good deal of the last two nights together. Simon hadn’t spoken since they had interviewed Lance, and Ralph had a sinking feeling that the other man was about to get lost in his own dark world again.
