Chapter 14Rafe felt like an absolute cad for not following Ivo to the door yesterday and not contacting him later. His mother had stayed for hours, crying, cajoling, threatening, though the only thing she had to threaten him with was refusing to see to him ever again, and by the time he had helped her onto the train, he thought that might be rather a good idea. Glancing at himself in the mirror to ensure that his black suit looked perfect and his blue silk tie was straight, he wondered if he needed an overcoat.
