Kade's pov It did not take long and our backup car came through. Once I arrived back at the pack house, I did not hesitate to hurry to my room where I took a warm bath. I shut my eyes and rested in the bathtub, but my thoughts remained on Celine, too much fear in her eyes when I found her in the dungeon. Like she was not the same lady who had boldly walked into my pack house and offered me a deal. The more I thought about it, the more I couldn't fathom what she had to go through. But one thing was certain now, she was going to be my wife and there were so many odds she would end up the same way all three of the others did. Now I just need to find a way to be able to use her blood before this curse eats away my soul. I had been so engrossed in my thoughts that I didn't notice anyone coming in until I caught the strong scent of a female perfume and I flung my eyes open. “What are you doing here?” I roared, staring at a maid who was standing in front of the bathroom door. I had no clue how long she had been there or what she was in the first place. “Apologies Alpha!” She cried as she quickly went to her knees. Her hands and feet trembled. “The butler said you needed someone to help you wash up and entertain you for the day….” “GET OUT!!” I yelled at the top of my voice, and the sound echoed through the walls. She scampered to her feet. Raising and falling as she dashed out of there. I couldn't blame the butler. This has been almost like a ritual, s*x seemed to have been the only thing that calmed me down after every full moon, but now. I couldn't even look anyone in the face, everything was so disgusting to me. Once I stepped out of the bathtub, I got dressed in a casual shirt and jeans. Stepping out of my room, I headed for my car and drove straight to the Pack's witch doctor. “Simon!” I called as I stood outside his house while the two guards who had accompanied me knocked at the door. “What has the shadow of death come here to do!” His deep and stern voice came through from inside, his words had never been any issue to me. I smiled coldly and started walking inside. “Simon! It's been a while and you have never come to check up on me?” “I hear that whoever crosses your territory ends up dead, I am not ready to meet with my ancestors” He continued to tease with a straight face. I settled on one of his old couches. Simon was just in his early fifties, yet he still chose to live in the ways of the old. Not adapting to any form of technology. His house was surrounded by a list of trees and his backyard was vibrant for almost every animal that you can find around the woods. But he would always insist they were medicinal and every single plant or animal around his house had a use. “You never show up here, unless it's very important, what is going on here?” He asked with an intense gaze at me. “Won't you offer me something first, you just said it yourself that it's been a long time since you last saw me here, or better still, won't you inquire about your sister, my mother?” “I would, but you barely even see her, so how about we skip all the bulshit of formality and tell you what brought you here. Because it's never good” “Fine. Since you are so eager to hear some gossip. Remember you were the first one who had told me about the pure-blooded wolf and now to tell when I find one” “Yes. And I could remember that I told you that they haven't been in existence for a long while, so it's going to be difficult to find any” “What if I tell you that I did, I just found one?” His eyes widened and his jaw almost dropped. “That is impossible!” He speaks. His voice gasped out in shock. “I don't know. But I am certain of it, her scent… her warmth, everything is just so real, but I don't even know what to do with her blood when I have it” I paused, staring at him. But Simon seemed so lost in his thoughts like he wasn't sure about what I had just told him. “Simon! I called out. Trying to get his attention back “How do I break the curse once I have her blood?” He shook his head, a bitter wave of disbelief seemed to have fallen upon him. “Kade!” He called so casually, the only man who has never regarded me as the Alpha. “I want to see the blood, get me a sample of her blood, of truly she is a pure-blooded wolf, then we need to act as quickly as possible” “Why is that?” “I can't say anything until I am certain about what you are talking about, go ahead and get me her blood right now and whatever you do, be fast about it!” He ordered and there was intense panic in his eyes.
