Kade's pov I was certain, certain that I wouldn't feel the pain of turning into a beast and going Feral by the next full moon. There was a great sense of assurance and excitement knowing I had found the one who could break my curse. All I needed to do was send her blood samples to Simon and soon everything would be over. But as if she had suspected my plans, she stood in front of me, saying that whatever we planned wasn't going to work. I had so many questions that I wanted to ask, but I knew it would be a waste of time, so I went straight to the one question she could answer. “Were you threatened?” “Yes I was, but that is certainly not why I am saying this” “So you are saying their threat might have contributed to this decision of yours, I thought you were bold and fearless, but seem like I was wrong about you” “Exactly!” She gritted her teeth, even though I had seen pain and revenge in her eyes before, I had never seen such anger, as if she would pounce on me the next minute. “You are wrong about me, you have not a single idea of the things that I had to go through for twenty years living in that pack house, this was a time I thought Damien would be my savior, my resting place, but I was wrong” She stopped and walked closer to me, she was right, this girl standing before me wasn't afraid of anything in this world. “You think there are any threats that can make me change my mind. That moment when I walked into your pack house. I was broken beyond repair and it is still going to keep happening until I get my revenge” “So what is going on….. what is stopping you, I can't help you if I don't know what is happening” She took a deep breath, swallowed her spit like she was bracing herself for the next words that she was going to say. “You are the Alpha king, I am fully aware that there are many including my father that has been fighting so hard to take your position and see you down, I don't want to be that reason” “Your father is the least of my problems, I can certainly handle him” I growled impatiently because right now. She wasn't making any sense to me. And all I could think about was getting her blood and getting rid of this curse right away. “No! You don't understand, everyone would judge and condemn both of us, Damien and his father would use the pity card, I can't let them have that. I want to leave him but I want the whole world to see the reason I am leaving him” “And how do you intend to do that?” “He is cheating on my sister. I hear you are holding an event in two days, I want to expose them there” “I am not the one holding the event. It's my mother….. gosh! I hate all of those things and have no plans of attending it?” “But you can get me an invite right?” Her eyes narrowed and the corner of her lips was forming into what looked like a smile. Even though she was standing right in front of me. I couldn't read her or tell what she was planing but I had to ask the obvious question. “How sure are you that he is cheating on you?” “Hundred percent! I caught them myself. With my sister” “I don't know what love feels like, but I can tell that must have been really painful” “It doesn't hurt anymore. I just want to make them suffer and if I leave just like that. I will be giving them the satisfaction and sympathy they desire from the public, I am not doing that s**t” The way she spoke with so much boldness. I couldn't help but be amused by this girl, it was like she was afraid of nothing and I was definitely liking this part of her. “Please Alpha….. tell me you can get me an invite” “I can. But do you think that you can pull it off on your own? It might be dangerous?” “I know. But I also know these people more than they know themselves and I can assure you that I can handle it” With such certainty in her eyes, it was like there was nothing she couldn't handle. As much as I badly wanted to get it on with her, I knew that I would have to wait a little longer before I could get any access to her blood without raising suspicion. “Fine! I will get you the invite by tomorrow” I assured her and even with her eyes cold, a smirk still managed to cur l around her lips. Why was I referred to as the monster when this girl seemed like the Devil!
