Kade's pov:

“I will go and fetch her right now” Jessica lowered her head as he spoke, slowly she took a few steps and started walking towards the door. I didn't have the luxury of time to wait for her, so I followed right behind her.

“Where are we going?” I asked, after we had walked a while and I felt like she was going away from the main building of the pack house, perhaps to lure me away.

“The dungeon” her response came almost as a whisper.

“Celine is inside the dungeon?” I asked but no response came, I couldn't fathom what was going on. My first instinct told me this might be a trap, but Alpha Aiden would dead if he attacked me at a time like this when I am at the verge of going Ferral.

We came to a halt infront of an old wooden door in the dungeon, Jessica stood at the entrance like this place was hell and she did not dare stepped in.

“Open the door!” She commanded the guard stationed at the door. The guard looked down from her to me with a grimmer of fear in his ears.

“What are we doing here?” I asked. Because I couldn't bring myself to imagine that Celine might be the one locked up in there.

“You asked for Celine. She is in there” Jessica responded and my blood ran cold. My wolf growls in fury.

These people didn't have the right to ever refer to me as a monster, they were worse.

“You locked her up in here?”

“I didn't! It was father. She disobeyed him and he had to punish her”

“So you lock her in a dark and cold dungeon” u have always been regarded as a monster, a cruel monster throughout every pack, but this was too inhumane for a girl.

Now I was starting to understand the meaning of the pain in her eyes and why she would want a contract marriage with a man like me.

As the door swung open. I dashed in and rushed over to her. Celine was lying on the floor with her knees crouched over her head like she was trying to shield herself away from the cold.

“Celine!” I called out as I rushed over to her side. Her skin was so cold and she was unconscious. My heart ached, consumed with rage which only paved way further for the beast.

How could something like this be done to her. “Celine! Get up!” I called again, tapping her vigorously, when she finally opened her eyes, there was a smile on her face as her eyes locked up with mine.

“You came….” Her throat was dry and her voice hoarse, barely heard, but that smile on her face had sparked something inside of me.

“I told you that I would come, remember”

“Thank you for sticking to your words, please take me away from here” her voice was pleading, with a mixture of pain, fear and desperation.

I didn't not hesitate even for a moment, i carried her bridal style in my arms and began. I had barely taken a few steps away from the dungeon when my bone made a c***k sound.

I paused, almost throwing her away, but fighting the pain so hard. The Beast wanted to take it form and since I was refusing, it was causing me immerse pain.

“Alpha! Are you okay?” Jessica asked as soon as she noticed the sudden change I was experiencing.

“Yes I am fine. Ask your father to meet me here right now!” I commanded and she hurried out of there.

“Alpha!” Rowan who has silently been standing behind me all through the walk to the dungeon called out.

“You know fully well that we can't take her home right?” He asked and he was right, the girk slowly opened her eyes, there was fear in them.

“You are going to leave me here?” she asked and immediately pulled away from me as I met her down.

There wAs disappointment in her eyes, but Rowan was right. I can't take her home, not today else she would witness everything, it was clear to me and Rowan that I wouldn't make it back home before the beast takes it form and once the beast takes over. She would be the first person I would kill.

Letting Celine see the real me would only mean that this marriage wouldn't take place again.

And right now. I needed this marriage alliance more than she did. “I am sorry Celine, but we have not fully married yet, I can't take you home.””

“But you have already stated your intentions to my father right. We can go on with the marriage today, even right here. Please don't leave me here”

She pleaded with desperation in her eyes. But if only she knew that I might be far worse than those she was running away from.

“But you don't have to worry. Whatever your father has been doing to you. It will be the last, I will make sure he never lays his hands on you ever again. If he does, I rip his throat off”

She smiled, like my threats didn't scare her.

“Thank you Alpha” she muttered but she looked so fragile and weak, clearly she had been deprived of food for days, made me wonder how long it has been going on.

“Alpha King, I can explain…..” Alpha Aiden speaks in a haste as he walked towards me but I cut him off before he was done speaking.

“I don't want to hear it! I don't care what you have done to her in the past, but I will be back to pay the necessary dowry in two days and If I return to marry her and there is as much as a scratch”

I paused, took a few inches close to Alpha Aiden, this time, The beast had taken over my mind, just a few more minutes and he would take over my body.

My eyes were red, staring into Aiden.

“I will burn this entire pack to the ground and rip out your throat!”
