Celine's pov
The room fell silent after I spoke. I had no clue what I was going to expect, but with a man like Alpha Kade, the only way I could get him to help me was through a marriage contract.
But rumors say he had been married three times and all died by his hands, yet here I was, standing in front of him and willing to ask for a marriage with him.
I was staring into his eyes. Like I wanted to read his mind, but he was Alpha Kade and there was no way that I would be able to read such a man.
Even with my words, he remained calm, so calm that it was starting to send shivers down my spine.
“Alpha! I think now is the time you say something” I spoke again. Since his silence was starting to suffocate me.1q
“So you are the daughter of Alpha Aiden ?” He finally spoke after a long stretch of silence.
“Yes I am”
“You know I gave your father less credit than he deserved. He is indeed so intelligent to be able to pull this off”
“Wait! You think my father sent me?” I let out an annoying shrug. What was I thinking, that a man like Kade Hart would easily believe I had come here on my own?
“My father didn't send me, in fact, he would kill me if he found out I came here”
“He is right to do so, do you even realize where you just stepped in?” He grabbed the glass of whiskey and took another sip.
“I am at the Nightwing pack. Offering alliance to the Alpha”
“Alliance? And let's say I decide to play along, what kind of benefits would I get, marrying the daughter of Alpha Aiden and please don't say financial support because you know fully well your pack doesn't come close to that”
He warned, but I smiled. I had come here knowing that I had nothing else to lose and I would die trying rather than leave here without this deal.
“I can help you win the war you have had against my father for years!”
I blurted out and finally got to see a change in his reaction, he stared closely at me like that was the first time he was seeing me. And just when I thought I finally had his attention, he let out a cold chuckle.
“It's ironic, don't you think? That you walk in here with no fear offering to help me win a war against your father, your own pack”
“You do know that I am not his biological daughter right?”
“So does that mean you are willing to betray a man who raised you and watch me burn down the same pack you grew up in?”
“No! I won't let you burn down the pack, I just want you to get rid of my father”
“And why is that?” This time he crossed his leg, taking another sip from his glass, but now I could tell I had gotten his attention, he was indeed intrigued.
“I don't have to spill out my reason to you. This would certainly be a very beneficial marriage for both of us”
“So because you are his daughter, you think you can help me defeat him?”
“Yes. Because I know things that no one else knows!” I spoke boldly, who would believe that I had been reborn with the memories of my previous life. Holding several secrets that would soon happen.
“For example, I know that you just recently struck a deal with a rogue pack, to get some weapons from there. You know my father is targeting your sugar refinery don't you?”
I was staring directly into his soul, his eyes widened, and he held himself from letting out a gasp as he rose to his feet, his gaze on his beta, who had been standing at the door since I walked in.
“Don't look at him. He has nothing to do with this, besides he doesn't even know the weapons were from the rogues right!”
I spoke again and now I was definitely certain I got Alpha Kade exactly where I wanted him.
The room went cold as he walked towards me, standing just an inch away from me, I could properly catch his scent. Never seen a man who smelled like death himself yet so intoxicating with a mixture of blackberry.
“No one knows about this, except for Rowan and me, because we were trying to figure out where we have been having a leak from lately”
“I can also help you with the leak!” I urged him even though I knew nothing about that. I only knew about things that had happened in the past and not secrets that were kept in my previous life.
“But aside from all the plans you have made. I can also tell you for certain that things won't go as you have planned, which is why you need me!”
I urged him! My voice was consumed with determination and Iknew that this was certainly an offer he wouldn't be able to refuse.
