KADE’S POV
“Today was a one off, you won’t be so lucky next time.” Roman’s voice was like a warning.
My eyes brushed past his shoulders. “Move away!” Those were the only words I could muster through the rage that blinded my vision.
He gave his shoulders a casual shrug, and spread his hands. “Have fun acting like a knight in shining armor. It’s not gonna last anyway.”
My nose flared. “Killing her is one thing, but being brutal about it is a whole different ballgame.” I sniffed, “If Vance had pulled this off, I’d have no problem with it. But you acting like a jerk is one thing I might not be able to look past.”
