TRIPLED IT

SCARLET OMEGA’S POV The next couple of weeks was a mixture of pity, some students walking to me to initiate conversations, and others plain glaring at me. I served the next set of partygoers, before the boss gestured for me to take some liquor to the exclusive section of the club. After getting rejected, this was the only place that offered me a job as a bartender. If I wanted a stable life as a wolfless woman after college, I needed money. The VIP lounge was more enclosed than the other floors. I made my way through the dark room, some guests grinding their bodies against each other on the dance floor. Others were almost doing the deed on the couch right there! ‘You need this money, Scarlet.’ I reminded myself. It was the only way not to lose my sense. I held my breath and started making my way to the table where the order had gone from. My stomach fell when I spotted who it’d come from. “There she is!” Ivy’s voice boomed over the playing music as she gestured to me. I moved towards her, ignoring the burning gaze of others in the lounge, and the uneasy feeling seeping into my veins. I placed the glass of champagne on the table, and spun around when the twisted nudge in my lower abdomen intensified. “Not so fast bargirl.” I stilled to the spot. But my heart was thumping faster. My eyes hovered around the lounge. I could feel an intimidating aura slowly creeping into every corner of the place. I tightened my grip around my apron. Ivy pushed herself up, and gestured to the DJ to turn off the music. She let out a howl, loud enough to draw everyone’s attention to her. “Yo! Everyone listen up!” She paused, and continued. “We all know Moonwolf academy is only for the elite, like me of course and the rest of you.” Ivy flipped her hair. Even through the dark blue light, I could see the pride etched on her face. She tilted her head to face me, her eyes clouded with contempt. “I wonder why one of us is here, serving as a common bargirl,” A beat passed. “Shouldn’t she be in her pack getting pampered by her maids, or better still painting a luxurious canvas for an art exhibition?” “Making extra cash isn’t a sin, you know.” A familiar muscle melting voice boomed from behind me. The hair at the back of my neck prickled under the vibration of his voice. It was one of the Castillo triplets. Asides the commanding note of his voice, Ivy’s face was plain red. Her cheeks flustered. “I didn’t know you came here, Vance.” “And I came with others.” It was at this point I spun around. My legs suddenly turned to jelly. I was barely standing at this second, not with this six feet of sin in front of me. Kade leaned against the wall, a few buttons of his shirt were undid, leaving a glimpse of his chest bare. My mouth went dry. Out of the corner of my eyes, I spotted Roman. Oh my days! Now, I know why his subordinates reverted to him as ‘the leader’ Roman Castillo was flaming temptation. Dressed in a black shirt, black waistcoat. He looked like a heady ripper, in a way that assured doom. These men had the looks that could make anyone…anyone at all give up their rules. I dragged oxygen into my lungs. to ease my pent up muscles. I shifted my gaze to the ground to steady my emotions. I had enough problems on my plate already, and I couldn’t let some vain Alpha triolets tickle my latched longings. I wasn’t about to add fleeting emotions, not after the pain Liam put me through. Besides, no Alpha blood would have a thing to do with a wolfless woman like me. That was one secret I had to keep to myself. Albeit, I was still reeling from my sudden healing. It was strange…really strange for someone who’d lost her wolf. Vance gestured to Ivy with a flick of his finger. She let out a gasp, sidestepped me, and inched closer to her. Vance snaked his hands around her waist, and pulled her towards me. A moan fell out of Ivy’s mouth. My heart clenched. Nice move, yeah. Right after they’d claimed I was their mate. Lina had told me about Vance’s obsession for s*x, blood and weapons. Those were the three things he just couldn’t do without. I pouted when Ivy’s moans reached my ears. She wrapped her hands around his neck, and pushed her lips against his. He pulled away, for once in my life I hated that my eye sight adjusted to the dark lights of the club. Vance’s eyes caught mine, he smirked and lashed his tongue and licked Ivy’s cheeks. Something snapped in my chest. I’d barely known them, yet this was painful to watch. I had to leave. “Hey!” Ivy called out, and I was this close to lashing out at her. “We’re not done with you yet. Ask Bobby, I paid to have you attend to me for an hour.” “Ivy, I heard the new student whooped your ass in an embarrassing way at the fight.” Roman Castillo said. A small smile touched my lips when some students laughed. I didn’t know why I stared at Kade. I swear to the moon goddess, his face was contorted in amusement. Then, his facial expression went stoic, like nothing had just happened. Vance grunted. “Common Roman, don’t spoil the mood for my girl, we’re not even started yet.” “Have as much fun as you want to have. Ivy, I’d suggest you train more, you hang out with us, and be defeated. It’s embarrassing.” “Except it’s Scarlet Diaz.” Kade spoke for the first time. The first word he’d said to me being ‘mate’ This time, he’d made a sentence. And, and…I felt a fluttering feeling in my stomach. The groups “angel” Kade Castillo pushed himself from the pole, sauntering with the aura of a well trained wolf. “Ivy, how much did you pay to have her serve you?” “Three grand. I don’t know why Bobby demanded so much for her.” Kade Castillo grunted, pulled out something that looked like a cheque book, and scribbled something against it. He handed it over to Ivy. “I tripled it. I want her to serve me for the night.” Kade pulled me by the hand, and his eyes widened, then dismayed immediately. My heart bruised against my chest. My guts told me he’d noticed my hands had healed. I could only hope he was thinking something else. Kade led me to their table, while Roman triplets closely behind us. I felt like a helpless prey caught by predators. Some people in the crowd cast me a pity look, others had curiosity on their faces. Kade flipped me, and I fell on his thighs. “There. There.”
