FIRST DAY AT COLLEGE

SCARLET OMEGA’S POV ‘This is it.’ I let out a deep sigh, as I made my way through the swarm of students. I made my way to a group of ladies chatting at the corner. “Hey, I need directions to the secretary’s office.” No response. Except for a stern glare. Something tightened in my stomach. I had to accept the invitation to Moonwolf college. I was going to talk about surviving here later. For now, I needed to find the secretary’s office. I cleared my throat. “Hey, I said I’m looking for the secretary’s office.” When I spoke again, my voice was louder, and more firm. All four ladies rested their eyes on me. The blonde stood up, her hands folded across her chest. She pouted her lips in disgust. “Seventh floor.” My lips parted into a small smile. “Thank you.” I gave her a mock bow, and started searching for an elevator. I got into the elevator, and pushed the button tagged ‘7’. A small gasp filled the air. “You’re so dead.” A brunette next to me muttered under her breath. She got off at the fifth floor. I clutched at the hand of my luggage, anxiety running beneath my skin. There was only one way to survive at Moonwolf college— act strong. It was very easy to spot an Omega out, since we’re generally known to be weak. I swallowed. That was in my past, I’d be damned if I ever acted weak in front of anyone. I heaved, and stepped out when the door parted open. My jaw almost grazed the floor at the magnificent sight in front of me. Moonwolf college was nothing like I’ve ever seen my whole life. Frescoes decorated the ceiling of the ground floor. The entire structure flaunted the wealth of the college. It wasn’t just like any college. It was THE MOONWOLF COLLEGE. There were no offices on this floor. If anything, it was designed like a space for luxury masculinity. Maybe the blonde from earlier had mixed the number up. I spun around, when the atmosphere switched. Wind gusted through the windows. Goosebumps prickled all over my body, fear tugged at my insides. A presence was in this room. Something—Someone was standing behind me. I didn’t need to turn around to see. I could feel it, because of the way my body reacted. I curled my hands into a fist, turned to the direction. Nobody was there. Was I making things up in my head? I walked a few feet, and pushed the elevator button. It wasn’t responding. Suddenly, the air around me dipped…again. That creature was back. Of the list of things I’d heard about this college, vampires weren’t one of them. It was exclusive for only werewolves. I still when I felt someone breathing down on me. His breath, fiercely cold, and eerie. I was used to living in fear. However, this was different, it was like I felt my body drop from my spirit. I turned around with so much speed. Worse move. Nothing, absolutely nothing on earth prepared me for what I saw. My breathing slowed to a crawl. I tipped my chin to take in the enormity of the creature I was a few inches away from. It was a black Lycan wolf, about ten feet tall. Lycan wolves were huge, but this was monstrous. My breath hitched. The hairs on my body unnerved, and I felt a surge of adrenaline rushing through my spine. I lost my balance, and hit the back of my head against the elevator. ~~~~~~ “How long do you think she’ll pass out for?” Someone said from beneath me. Another giggled from the rear. “Two hours tops.” My eyelids felt heavy, as I forced them open. A chill ran over my spine, my entire body was numb. Even worse, I was hanging from a basketball pole! I racked my brain to figure out how I got here, but all I got was nothing. One minute I was on the seventh floor. Then, I came face to face with a monstrous Lycan wolf. Then, I passed out. When I woke up, I was hung in a basketball pole in the damn middle of a games room. Someone strutted towards me… the pole. I couldn’t hold back the groan that threatened to spill. I recognized her. She was the blonde from that group earlier. “That’s what you get for asking stupid questions to the wrong people.” She smacked her cherry red lips. I should’ve known a college like Moonwolf will have an abundance of mean girls. I ignored her, and struggled to find my damn way to the ground. I had a gut feeling the wolf from the seventh floor had placed me here. The blonde turned to face the group of students. “Hey everyone!” Silence rented the air. “This thing went to the seventh floor.” Another round of silence, this time it was intense. Suddenly, it broke into a murmur. All I cared about was how to get out of here. I guess I might have to do better at protecting myself from these spoiled assholes. “Please help me down.” The blonde let out a tsk sound. “Nobody offers help to anyone punished by the—” She’d barely finished her statement, when I zoned out my gaze fixed on something. No, on someone. Everyone in the games room felt his presence, because his scent filled the air in a way that made the room cool…ice cool. Black tousled hair that flattered his forehead. Nerd glasses sat on the most defined nose. Chiseled jaw, that was set in a clean shave. His face was set in a stoic expression. My eyes fell on his lean shoulders. His black Tee showed a good amount of the muscles on his arms, with a howling wolf tattoo etched on them. Laidback demeanor. Ice cold. Nerdy. He wasn’t the kind of nerd that made one’s stomach lurch. I could smell the intimidating scent of his wolf as he waltzed into the games room. Students parted like waves as he made his way towards the pole, dispersing the games room one after the other. He stopped a few inches away from me, and something weird spread through my body. Without sparing me one glance, he bent the pole like he was pulling at a loose screw. Nobody, absolutely nobody had permission to be this hot. My heart thumped faster, my face flushed when his eyes rested on my face. My heart raced faster as the pole descended to the ground. I came face to face with him. Shit! My breath hitched when I picked out his face. It was undeniable. Butterflies skittered in my stomach. Not the type that set warmth, and promised roses and petals. It was irresistible, it lit my body up in a dangerous way, and sucked up every bad moment in the Silverwolf pack. My body trembled with a mixture of desire, and fear. Was I in some trouble with this stranger that screamed with Alpha authority? The stranger’s eyes descended on me, then he walked away without saying a word.
