THE ANGEL

ALPHA ROMAN’S POV Scarlet Diaz. No f*****g way in hell was I standing in front of my fated mate. I dipped my hand into my pocket. That was the only way I wasn’t going to try to strangle Vance. I’d told him to stop this from happening. It couldn’t happen. We can’t mark any woman as our mate. He knew that very well. He was supposed to stop her from coming, yet the jerk allowed this to happen. Rage simmered in my veins. I guess we were going to sort this out at the training ground. For now my wolf, King, wasn't having it. He was a few inches away from his mate, and I wasn’t f*****g doing jack s**t about it. Not like I was going to change my mind. King let out a sneer. ‘You do not have much of a choice in this.’ My jaw set in anger. ‘I have—’ Vance let out a manipulative laugh. “I thought you’d never make it to our territory, mate.” She just stared at us. My eyes hovered over her. She was beautiful with pouted lips. f*****g goodness, my d**k twitched at the sight in front of me, and I f*****g hated myself. Marking a female was a line neither of us was going to cross even though Vance was flirting at her with his stupid smile. Ugh! The mate bond was just like they described it to be. My muscles cramped, and her scent filled my head in a way that I absolutely hated. My wolf on the other hand was purring with a need to wrap his fangs around her, sniff her scent then mark her. Kade just stood and watched. His laidback demeanor aside, I knew he was a chaos in his head. ‘We’re sending her back.’ I announced through a mindlink. ‘No f*****g way in hell am I going to let my mate walk out without marking her, and having a taste.’ That f*****g bastard Vance said. Kade remained stoic. The rage I’d managed to push aside hit me like a wave. My blood rushed with adrenaline, I would be so satisfied in breaking Vance’s nose right now. ‘We’re doing none of that. She’s going back to wherever she came from.’ ‘I disagree. The young lady came for college, she will go to college.’ I curled my hands into a fist. The last thing I wanted my media team dealing with was a controversial video of me hitting my brother. Vance knew how to poke at my nerves. “You’re leaving the Moonwolf pack now.” My masculine voice brooked no opposition. Her face blanched. For a quick second, it was like I saw fear crept into her features. In my twenty four years of physical experience, I’d never had the urge to pull a woman so close that she'll lean into me, soaking up her scent right before I kiss her senseless. I wanted to do it…right now with a woman I’d barely met. Hell no! She was leaving the Moonwolf pack, and now. Then, in a weird turn of events she let out an incredulous laughter. The f*****g sound teased my c**k. “And who are you to tell me what to do?” She fired back, her voice steady. I swear to the moon goddess, for her innocent look, and the way her shoulders slouched, she sounded fearless. Maybe I underestimated her. I rubbed my fingers against the bridge of my nose. “I do not like to repeat myself.” She swallowed. Her lips parted open, but no words came out. My little mate was scared. She slipped for a few seconds, and I caught her emotions. “No.” Her voice was a whisper. I pushed my head further. “What did you say?” I tried to keep the rage out of my voice. It didn’t help that her lips were stained with red paint, which drove King insane. Heck! This was going to be harder than I thought. If only Vance had cleared this mess up before it happened. But the stupid jerk made sure she came into the Moonwolf pack. “Leave now that we’re being polite. We’re not as nice as we look.” I warned, and it wasn’t even a threat. It’ll be her reality. Scarlet’s eyebrows pushed together in a frown. “No!” When she spoke again, her voice was louder, and firmer. “I came to college to study, and neither of you have any right to push me out.” She said, pointing fingers at us. The air in the hall went utterly still. I could feel the curious gaze of students. They wanted to see the outcome of someone standing up to us. Mate or not, Scarlet was going to pay. Perhaps, she’d leave the pack. I let out a dry laugh. “You do not have any say in this.” Her eyebrows pushed up in anger. “Yes I do, and I’m not leaving Moonwolf college,” She inched closer to me, and I felt an ounce of Alpha vibes rippling from her. Something felt odd. Scarlet continued. “You want me out so bad, then make me,” she turned to face her friend. “Lina, let’s get out of here. I knew coming here wasn’t a good idea in the first place.” Scarlet spun around and made to leave, when I grabbed her by the hand. A Jolt of electricity spiked through my skin. I let go of her hand, staring down on her. I could feel her heart racing. Yet she didn’t cower. “Do not push us to mark you,” I paused. “Scarlet Diaz, you have no idea what you’re getting into.” I—we couldn’t be with a female, let alone our mate. We were doom wrapped in perfect faces, and fierce wolves. Our world was dark and haunted, and any woman who walked in was destined for doom. The corner of her lips tipped in a smile. “You’re not my mates!” She snapped. That was it. That was the last straw that broke the camel’s back. I watched her saunter out of the hall. “Vance, are you going to take care of this, or should I?” “I want to mark my mate by the way.” Vance said lightheartedly. That jerk always countered me.
