I opened my eyes slowly, and my gaze was overtaken by an ancient-looking book, and my favourite flowers. He handed them over to me, and I took a whiff of the flowers, and I found myself smiling at his sweet gesture.
“I hope you like it? Your mom gave me the book to give to you, she said she thought it would help.” Wayne stated, and a giggle slipped past my lips.
“I love it, thank you, Wayne.” I thanked him, and I could see relief wash over him, a crooked smile forming on his lips.
“You are most welcome love.” He stated, his eyes darkening, sending a shiver down my spine, and my stomach filled with butterflies.
His gaze remained in that state for a minute or two, before Alex and my brother cleared their throats, and we finally snapped out of our trance. A blush crept up my cheek
