Victoria slapped Evan in the face. She could no longer stand the cruel words that kept piercing her heart. "Sorry," she said softly after realizing what she had just done. "Evan..." Evan didn't answer. Without a word, he turned and walked into his apartment, leaving Victoria in the lobby with tears streaming down her face. Victoria staggered over to the bench before the apartment building and sat down. The tightness in her chest grew. She looked down, trying to soothe her tears, but soon she felt someone's presence. Looking up, she saw Felix standing in front of her. His eyes looked at her with pity, as if he felt sorry for her. If he hadn't given up then, would the story have turned out differently?
