(Sean’s POV)
I’d just hit send on the text to Erin when the doorbell rang. I knew it was too soon for the pizzas but I still glanced at the guys to be sure they weren’t expecting anyone. Sure enough I got shrugs from both.
So I squared my shoulders and walked to the door, opening it without hesitation. To my surprise it was, in fact, my Father. He’d actually taken the time to come retrieve Mother personally. “Sean. I’m here for Mary Kate.”
That was it. No ‘hello’, ‘kiss my as*’, nothing. Though he did begin to simply enter my home without permission. Of course, with me filling in the doorframe so fully that was a bit difficult. Actually, now that we’re standing so close, and face-to-face, I just now realized he’s shorter than I am. Funny. I never noticed that before.
