The Exposure

Anna and Ben called their boss and reported the situation. They told him that they had found Julia Davis dead in her apartment, and that there was another killer who had used the initials "J.D." to murder her and the businessman. They asked him for backup and permission to continue the investigation.

Their boss was furious and frustrated. He told them that they had messed up the case, and that they had to drop it immediately. He said that the politician, who was Julia Davis' husband, had contacted him and demanded that the case be closed. He said that politicians had a lot of influence and power, and that he could ruin their careers and lives if they didn't comply. He ordered them to return to the office and hand over their badges and guns.

Anna and Ben were shocked and angry. They knew that their boss was corrupt and cowardly, and that he was covering up for the politician. They also knew that the politician was probably involved in the murders, or at least knew who "J.D." was. They refused to obey their boss, and decided to pursue the case on their own. They hung up the phone and deleted their messages.

They looked at each other and felt a surge of determination and love. They kissed each other and vowed to find the killer and expose the truth. They also vowed to trust each other and never betray each other. They were two detectives who were also lovers, and they would face any challenge together.

They searched Julia Davis' apartment for any clues or evidence, but they found nothing. They decided to check the hotel where the business person had been killed, hoping to find something that they had missed before. They took their car and drove to the hotel.

They arrived at the hotel and parked their car in a discreet spot. They entered the hotel lobby and pretended to be guests. They asked for the room number of the businessman, but the receptionist told them that it was occupied by someone else. They asked who it was, but the receptionist said that it was confidential.

They realized that something was wrong, and that someone was trying to hide something. They decided to sneak into the room and see who was there. They took the elevator and went to the floor where the room was located.

They walked along the corridor and found the room number. They knocked on the door, but there was no answer. They tried to open it, but it was locked. They used a credit card to pick the lock, and opened the door.

They entered the room and saw a man sitting on a chair, facing a laptop on a desk. The man turned around and looked at them with a smirk on his face.

He said: "Hello, Anna and Ben. I've been expecting you."

He was "J.D."
